My life with plastic pants...

The last 11 days I spent at a lovely Club Med called La Plantation d Albion in Mauritius Island. For those who do not know the philosophy of such a club here one of the most funny things: you can sit with total strangers for your meals. Here you have the chance to get to know the most interesting people, you get to talk about things, that you didn't talk for a long time... Like your school uniform. We had the chance to get to know Mike, a South African who lives in Perth, already for more than 20 years. This person was amazing and we had long and really funny conversations. Since he is a author, he came up with the idea for em to write a book called: "My life with plastic pants". Here is the story about that: I went to a German school in São Paulo, Brazil. Indeed we had to wear uniform (at the first years, then it was not mandatory any longer). The worst thing about that was the fact, that the uniform was that pretty. The t-shirt was OK, but the pants (girls were sometimes ashamed to wear the short skirts with the tight short-pants underneath - nowadays these are called "hot pants")... They were made of a fabric that was more than synthetic, it was like wearing plastics! And imagine this in Brazil, at 30°C!!! And the socks... They had to have three circles (one blue, one red and again one in blue). Despite of that, I had many funny and good experiences in school, and met lovely people. Even if we all live all over the world, we still keep in touch...
Mike, in case you are reading this post: Thank you very much for the fun time! Here is the picture of the beautiful sunset in Albion!
